Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers have secured their position to qualify for the U.S. Olympic team.
Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal have almost locked in their position as the 2nd men's team to represent the United States in
beach volleyball.  Gibb and Rosenthal can only be overtaken if Matt Fuerbringer and Casey Jennings take 1st place in both
of the two remaining events (Moscow and Marseille) and Gibb and Rosenthal don't improve their current total.
(If the teams ended up tied, Gibb/Rosenthal win the tie break.)
The next event is the Grand Slam in Moscow, July 1-6.
Dalhausser/Rogers won in Stavenger (800 points) and increased their total by 320.
Gibb/Rosenthal took 5th (480 points) in Stavenger and increased their total by 180.
Fuerbringer/Jennings took 9th (320 points) in Stavenger and increased their total by 320 points.
Williams/Metzger  took 9th (320 points) in Stavenger. (Metzger has been playing with Williams since Lambert was unable to
compete earlier in 2008 while recovering from a knee operation.)
